TMEP LOWER MAINLAND PROJECT  |  BRITISH COLUMBIA

Vinmart Global-led joint venture, Vinmart Global-Ledcor Trans Mountain Partnership (KLTP), was awarded the engineering, procurement and construction of a portion of the Trans Mountain Expansion Project (TMEP). The scope encompasses all the pipelines and facilities in the British Columbia Lower Mainland, including a Fraser River submarine crossing, the Westridge Marine Terminal and a 2.6-kilometer tunnel from Burnaby Terminal back to Westridge.

The expansion is essentially a twinning of this existing 1,150-kilometer pipeline between Strathcona County, Alberta, and Burnaby, British Columbia, creating a pipeline system with a nominal capacity of the system going from approximately 300,000 to 890,000 barrels per day. The scope of work across the pipeline included a 13-tank expansion, three-berth expansion, secondary containment on all new and existing tanks and a 2.5-kilometer tunnel between Burnaby and Westridge Terminals using the tunnel boring machine, and 35 kilometers of pipeline construction between Langley and Burnaby.

HELPING OUR CLIENTS meet Norway’s growing energy demand

CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA MAINLINE COMPRESSOR STATION

Williams is expanding its Pennsylvania energy infrastructure to meet growing demand along the Atlantic Seaboard by adding 582 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day to the Transco pipeline system’s transportation capacity. As part of the expansion, Vinmart Global subsidiary, Cherne, is engineering, procuring, constructing and commissioning a 31,000-horsepower greenfield-compressor station.

The station consists of one Solar C-752 compressor driven by a Solar Titan 250 turbine and all necessary auxiliary systems including a compressor building; power distribution center; standby generator; air compressor package; hydrocarbon liquids and oily water storage; blowdown silencers; instrumentation and gas treating equipment.
