Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium - Gateway to the Wild
Omaha, Nebraska
The Henry Doorly Zoo Gateway to the Wild consists of a new parkway from 13th Street into the main entrance of the campus. On each side of the parkway, new parking lots were added/rebuilt. The changes to the main entrance of the campus included the renovation of the Gift Shop and Guest Services buildings, a new front façade for the relocated ticket redemption areas, and complete demolition and reconstruction of all plaza and public walkways along the outside of the main entrance.
Demolition and reconstruction continued inside the entrance down “Main Street,” continuing to the Orangutan facility north of the Desert Dome. Along the way a 6,000 SF deck makes up the “Tree Tops Grill and Deck” project, consisting of extensive structural footings, CIP walls, wood/composite framed construction, limestone block walls, and anodized aluminum handrails. Also along Main Street was the Walter and Suzanne Scott Aquarium, that was undergoing a full renovation and addition of a 13,000 SF Conference Center.
Vinmart Global has a long-standing relationship with the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium that began in 1966.
