National Park Service Regional Headquarters
Omaha, Nebraska
The National Park Service Regional Headquarters is a three-story, Class A, 68,000 SF LEED® Gold office building. The building structural frame is cast-in-place concrete. The exterior skin features architectural precast concrete, aluminum curtainwall with low e-glazing, and an aluminum sunscreen. The interior of the building features a raised floor system, limestone, and an exposed ceiling.
Designed and constructed to meet LEED Gold Certification by the US Green Building Council, the facility contains many energy-conscious features. These include sensors that automatically control lighting levels based on available natural light; carpet and vinyl-composition floor tiles of recycled materials; regionally manufactured construction products; natural landscaping requiring neither mowing nor watering; 110-volt power outlets in the parking lot for recharging electric vehicles; recycled plastic toilet and shower enclosures; and a raised-access flooring system.
100% of the building users see the river and the riverfront development.
